Janice and her family are part of a Thrive! Team. They are also part of the Thrive! family as a whole.  Janice got connected to Thrive! by approaching a staff member who was wearing a logo t-shirt at Target and asking, "Can you help us?"  She quickly went from a stranger to a friend.  Janice shared last night at our Thrive! celebration that after having surgery three weeks ago, she has not cooked one meal due to the generosity of her Thrive! Family.  Stranger to Friend to Family.

Every Tuesday night we celebrate small milestones - reaching a goal, getting a better job, improved relationships, etc... But last night we celebrated a BIG milestone for many in Thrive!
We celebrated graduates from our most recent leader and ally training classes. We celebrated outstanding volunteers. We celebrated our first class who has been with us for nearly two years and part of a Thrive! Team for 18 months. We celebrated these "Alum" who are choosing to stay with the program in a different role. We celebrated community, relationship strengthening, family. We asked each person to write one word that they think of when they think of Thrive! Here's what they had to say...

COPE will provide participants ample time to process, discuss and dream together as they respond to what they learn about themselves and others during the experience. The event is limited to 120 participants and is free. Attendees and volunteers will represent the child welfare sector, USD383 school district, international development sector, business community and local faith community. All are welcome!  SNACKS AND DRINKS PROVIDED. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BROWN BAG LUNCH.
