Volunteer
Your time and skills can make a profound difference in the lives of those striving to break free from poverty. By volunteering with us, you’ll help empower individuals to achieve their goals and create brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
Provide a meal
Do you love cooking? Want to make a difference? Individuals and families spend many nights stressing about where their next meal will come from. Reducing this survival mode helps maintain focus on goals. Whether you are a company, family, or another non-profit, we’d love to connect with you! You can do one meal a year, or 3 times a year. It can be as simple as providing sandwiches, chips, and a drink, we are flexible!
Provide a skills class
Topics range from car maintenance to conflict resolution. Classes typically run about an hour and a half, or an hour with a 30 minute discussion or reflection time and can span over to the next months skills class if needed.
Be a mentor
Mentors are a valuable asset to this program. Help participants reach goals, offer support, and touch base weekly with your assigned participant. Just remember, you are a supporting person! Participants lead the efforts in their lives, they learn to navigate resources with your guidance and support!
Lead a skills class
You have skills in basic car maintenance? Repairing clothes? Mental health? Trauma informed? Gardening? Let us know how you can help meet the needs of our participants as they navigate goals to help support their work out of poverty.
Childcare
Many individuals in our program are parents or guardians, struggling to navigate balancing life and kids. Help support families so parents and/or guardians can build themselves. Meanwhile you help foster leadership and resilience to kids in need.
Committee Member
Join our fundraising and community outreach committees. Get plugged into the non-profit world and learn how our back end works. If you are a creative mind and like to think outside the box, or just love numbers, we have something for everyone. Let us know your talents and we can connect you within our community!
Board Member
Join our governing board, which meets monthly to provide direction and support for the work of our staff and volunteers.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. In fact, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
