Thrive! depends on donations in order to stay operational. We have an anonymous donor willing to match any donations up to $5000 given through November 15th. This is an amazing gift and you can help us!
We would sure appreciate any donation. No amount is too small. For example, if every follower of the Thriveflinthills Facebook page gave just $10 each, we would raise $7,350, add in our anonymous donor of $5000, we could raise a very needed $12, 350! This would be such a blessing to our program and let us continue to help break the cycle of poverty in our community.
Our program is changing our community, one person at a time. It is a privilege to work with the families and individuals that we have in our program. Every week we see people who are learning they have a voice and it matters. We see people working hard to face challenges. And it is absolutely magical to see someone realize their potential, to realize they have what it takes to reach a goal or watching a child grow and learn new skills. Allies are asked to meet on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month for team time. This is dedicated time for our leaders to work on goals, problem solve challenges they have etc. Allies are also welcome to participate on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays when we do our continuing education programming.
Please consider helping at Thrive! I cannot fully describe how amazing it is to walk along side someone that is struggling. Allies are not financially supporting their leader. They are cheerleading and helping to find solutions to situations our leaders may be facing.
If you have been thinking about volunteering and want a tangible way to see your efforts make a difference, please let me know. Thrive has changed my life too. You don't have to "have your life together" either! We all have life experience and can bring hope & dreams to people who may have never had someone in their corner.
I love my community and can think of no better way to help others! We focus on empowering our leaders and teach them that their voice matters. And who doesn't need a community that is always in your corner?? I often hear from our Allies how much they get out of being a part of Thrive. It's truly a soul-satisfying experience! ​Tonight we had a lot to celebrate at Thrive! It's hard to explain the magic that happens every Tuesday night. We build a community to help our participants make change in their lives. Tonight we celebrated 3 new leaders who finished our orientation and are officially Leaders in our program. We celebrated new Allies who have committed to walk along side of these new leaders. And we got to celebrate a new baby that will join the Thrive family very soon.
Building community matters. Knowing you have support from people matters. Knowing you can come as you are, and finding a welcoming, safe space matters. Thrive makes a difference in these people's lives. We can change our community, by investing in our leaders and allies. I am so grateful for this program and what we do.
